Tuxedo Cat by the Teacup - Canvas Print

“Tuxedo Cat by the Teacup” sits in a hush of ink-black fur, creamy white chest, and watchful amber eyes. On the worn wooden table, a white cup sends a delicate ribbon of steam toward the cat, while a brass lamp pools warm light beside shadowy cabinetry. Beyond the tall-paned window, a full moon floats among blue-gray clouds, and a leafy potted plant keeps quiet company. This canvas print balances domestic warmth with the alert stillness of a small midnight ceremony.

The scene seems to entertain the perfectly reasonable theory that cats supervise tea not for refreshment, but to ensure the moon has been properly steeped. Yet the cat’s upright posture and turned gaze keep the humor refined, as if it has been entrusted with a very old secret from the kitchen. The canvas print gives lamplight, porcelain, whiskers, and moonlight the gravity of a nocturnal still life, where even steam behaves like a wandering ghost.
